Before your appointment

For an optimum treatment please arrive to your appointment without any eye make up on as spending time removing this may cut into your lashing time and may mean less lashes.

Waterproof mascara is especially difficult to remove completely and any residue may create a barrier between your lashes and your extensions and may shorten the life of your extensions. If you must arrive to your appointment with mascara on, please wear a water based one.

Immediately after

At Elegant Lashes we are able to cure the lash extension bondings before you leave. So unlike other lash salons where you have to wait up to 24 hours before you can wet you lashes (and essentially clean your face!) you can get them wet after 2 hours.

General Care

To prolong the life of your extensions try not to touch them too much. Avoid getting any oil based products on your lashes or eye area. This includes oil based cleansers and foundations.

Also, try not to sleep on your stomach as you may sleep on your face and will find you will lose more lashes than usual. Particularly in the outer corners.

With care, your eyelash extensions will last around 2 to 4 weeks before they require infills. You can swim or work up a sweat without affecting your eyelash extensions.

We sell a lash extension sealant at the salon and on our online shop. It comes in a mascara-like tube with a wand. Applied every second day, it will lengthen the life of your extensions and hold their shape longer as they begin to grow out.

We also apply this sealant on your lashes whenever you come in for lashes or infills.
